Our volleyball team, made up of Izmir Economy University employees, came in third in the tournament organized by the Balçova District Governor's Office! 
 

Held at the Atatürk Sports Complex, the event was organized by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to emphasize the vital role of physical activity in a healthy lifestyle.

 

The achievements of our student athletes, who proudly represented our university across various disciplines throughout the year, were honored at the 2025 Izmir University of Economics Sports Awards Gala.

For the first time this year, all our dance communities joined forces to organize the Izmir University of Economics Dance Festival. The stage was alive with vibrant performances and an uplifting energy that mesmerized the audience! The event, co-organized by the Folk Dances, Latin Dances, and Hiphop Dance Clubs, also hosted dance teams from Ege University, Dokuz Eylül University, Izmir Katip Çelebi University, Izmir Democracy University, and Manisa Celal Bayar University.

The much-anticipated Spring Festival at IUE took place this year from May 7 to 9. Events and games organized by student clubs added color to the day, while the photobooth and 360-degree video stands attracted great interest. Students fueled their energy for this lively festival with tasty treats from various food stalls. The first night also featured a Music Festival that was both delicious and delightful.

The 2nd Music Festival at Izmir University of Economics brought together student musicians from all over Turkey. The energy of youth, the excitement of music, and unforgettable performances enchanted the audience.

Organized by the IUE Underwater Club (D-ECO), the “Intro to Diving” project was designed for university students interested in underwater sports and marine life. With the support of a UNIDES grant, 20 of our students had the chance to experience introductory diving using professional equipment and under the supervision of certified instructors.

The 3rd Theater Festival at Izmir University of Economics once again welcomed theater groups from various universities for five days of performances. Instead of admission tickets, attendees donated books at the entrance.

On March 12, 2025, the NGO Summit titled “Why Don’t We Volunteer?” took place at our university. The event was supported by EÇEV, TEMA, Aegean Forest Foundation, Turkish Red Crescent, Yeşilay, LÖSEV, Sayra Çınar Foundation, BAL-KAD, Pi Youth Association, BBOM, and UNIDES.

Dance shows, prize competitions, workshops, games, concerts... We came together to joyfully welcome 2025! Our day-long event on December 20, 2025, transformed the Conference Hall once again into a festive Winter Fair. Student club performances and creative events brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
