NGO Summit Held with the Theme “Why Don’t We Volunteer?”
On March 12, 2025, the NGO Summit titled “Why Don’t We Volunteer?” took place at our university. The event was supported by EÇEV, TEMA, Aegean Forest Foundation, Turkish Red Crescent, Yeşilay, LÖSEV, Sayra Çınar Foundation, BAL-KAD, Pi Youth Association, BBOM, and UNIDES.
Throughout the event, our students and academic-administrative staff had the chance to connect with NGOs operating in various fields and explore the significance of volunteering for personal growth and social benefit. Workshops, presentations, and information stands offered participants an opportunity to strengthen their sense of social responsibility and raise awareness about community needs.
This valuable summit once again emphasized the importance of contributing to society through solidarity and cooperation. As the Izmir University of Economics family, we will continue to promote a culture of volunteering and increase our social responsibility through similar events in the future.
