LIAR WANTED

The theater play “Yalancı Aranıyor (Liar Wanted)” was performed on stage on Thursday, December 18 at Izmir University of Economics. Turuhan Alkır, Denizcan Önder, Deniz İnanç, Çağlayan Şan, Cansu Erbatu, Ali Mert Uysal, Emre Can Kadıoğlu, İdil Bilgin, İpek Deniz Özdemir, Nevzat Çetinkol, Oğuzcan Gümüş, and Barış Kılavuz from IUE Theater Club took part in the play which was written by Dimitri Psathas and directed by Emrah Şenışık.  The play was strongly applauded by the audience.
 
The Theater Club of Izmir University of Economics is one of the first clubs to be established after the foundation of the University and has been actively serving for 13 years. The Club, which premieres at least two plays a year, also put the plays “Kaç Baba Kaç”, “Kulaktan Kulağa”, “Tuhaf İkili”, “Karmakarışık”, “Yaşar ne Yaşar ne Yaşamaz”, “Cimri”, “Ayı”, and “Bir Evlenme Teklifi” on stage before.
 
The Club will be performing “The Tragicomedy of Don Cristobita and Dona Rosita” as part of observing the World Theatre Day on March 27. They are also working on a surprise play that will come on stage in May.
